Ballerina

It was warm on that sunny afternoon
The pretty little birds were chirping
As I danced

It was late June
As I heard that fine tune
Of the chirping bluebirds
And danced

It was my last chance
As I pranced
The rain dance
Wanting romance
Trying to enchant
The one who disenchants

As I was at a stance
He glanced
Stuck in a trance
By my form

I worked my charm
Didn't see any harm
To performLike a storm

I was in a trance
There was no way I could stop the dance
My body kept flowing
The wind started blowing
It was on going
Mind-blowing
All-knowing

It started showing
Somehow
The vow
To the rain
Coming down everywhere
Nothing was spared
It whispered "do not dare"
It was all tearstained

I could no longer
entertain
This lover who's so vain

It was a mirage
Sabotage
Of my lovely dance
He is no longer enchanted

I am the enchanted
Who disenchants

This poem was published. I felt pretty special. My professors thought that it was lyrics to a song. I guess I could make it into a song. I only entered it to be published so that I could get an extra 100 points on my grade.

peace out, boy scout. alie.
